Tea

Tea is one of the most ancient and popular beverages worldwide. It is considered, the second most consumed drink in the world next only to water, although its consumption varies considerably from country to country. 

It is a small srub, Camellia sinensis growing in China, but also in many other countries. The distillate from leaves gives a pleasant taste, having created milions funs around the world. Often, people call tea any leaves or other stem parts of boiling plants in the water. However, tea is comes only from Camellia sinensis.  

Depending on the treatment of the leaves arises a large family of tea. The contact time of the leaves with oxygen (oxidation) determines the type of tea. Reactions, that occur during the oxidation process on leaves gives the final result of colour and flavor. The three main categories of tea are the black, green, and Oolong.

The tea route began five thousand years ago from China. Initially, it was recognized for medical purposes, and later, it was established as China's national drink under the Tang Dynasty. A country that built its reputation, trade and culture in a small bush.

Early 1600s, Portuguese merchants in Europe talked about tea in their trade as a beneficial drink that can be used in a variety of ways. Very soon, tea became a modern drink but only for the rich because of its high price. The great fame of tea in England arose from the marriage of Charles II with the Portuguese princess Aikaterine of Braganza. She was a huge tea fun and soon, she made tea - fashion all over the country. Since then, thousands of tea houses have been opened and tea has become the favorite national drink overtaking the coffee.  

The first book (Cha Ch'ing) about tea was written in 780 B.C. Lu Yu, a philoshopher and faithful supporter of tea says: " Tea mitigates the spirits and harmonizes the mind, dissolves and relieves fatigue, revitalizes thought, and prevents lag , revitalizes the body and clears perceptual abilities.

In recent years, tea has been the subject of research in numerous studies. The substances it contains are of interest because they are related to many beneficial properties in human health. Research results on the effect of polyphenols on tea showed that tea promotes the relaxation of the body and reduces cholesterol levels. The two positive effects improve the health of the heart. Equally important is the action of caffeine and the amino acid L - theanine present in tea.

Significant findings have shown a positive effect on mood and cognitive function. A cup of tea awakens body and mind and improves mood with less than 50 mg of caffeine (less in relation to coffee). In addition, more and more research supports the role of tea in preventing many types of cancer.

Today, we know very well that there is nothing better and safer than a cup of tea. Besides, it is refreshing, it boosts physical and mental health, moisturizes the body and gives a shiny skin while reduces the weight. 

Tea consumption in Europe and America has increased in recent years and has been established as part of a healthy lifestyle

Nowdays, no one just drinks tea but enjoys its unique flavor and rich aroma. A large number of varieties are available for everyone's personal choice.

Therefore, it is not a surprise that tea is increasingly conquering the interest of the world having wiled the entire planet over the centuries.
